Water Resistant Label Printer
Label printers come in all shapes and sizes; however, they are not all created equal. The capabilities of label printers vary widely depending upon their intended usage. For instance, some label printers are very small and compact and feature a typing pad right on the actual labeler. These types of label printers offer the convenience of speed by printing text labels quickly right from the palm of your hand. On the other hand, there are also larger label printers that utilize special software to create more detailed labels that feature pictures as well as text and offer a wide choice of different sizing and coloring options. Different label printers feature different possibilities. In addition to the different types of label printers, there are also a variety of different types of labels. Labels can be purchased in many different sizes. However, labels also feature an array of different uses just like the actual label printers. One type of label that we would like to focus on is the water resistant label.
How Do Water Resistant Printers Work?
Water resistant labels operate as their name implies, they are water resistant, meaning that they have the ability to resist damage when coming into contact with water or other liquids. One printer that has the ability to create water resistant labels is the LabelTac 4 Pro. This printer utilizes thermal transfer resin-based inks which allow for the heated ink to be fused or cured to the substrate. This process allows for instant water resistance and is different than that of the typical label printer which uses liquid-filled tanks. The LabelTac 4 Pro printer prints perfectly upon vinyl and other poly materials which are non-porous and water resistant by nature.
Benefits of Using Water Resistant Labels
There are many benefits of using water resistant labels; nonetheless, one of the top benefits involves water resistance. Water resistant labels can be used anywhere from lab environments to wash stations to employee restrooms. These types of labels are quite durable and are able to withstand damp conditions, chemical splashes, and often hold up quite well even during a full water submersion. Wherever there is a need for a label and the environment features wet or damp conditions, a water resistant label should be considered. Furthermore, water resistant labels can adhere to almost any type of surface as long as the surface is clean and oil-free upon application. Once the label is placed upon the surface the strong vinyl label will not rip or tear making the label a trusted method for conveying a message within a facility.
Choosing to use water resistant labels when needed can eliminate the hassle of constantly having to replace regular labels due to water or chemical-related smears or damage. It is important to remember that labels are not effective unless they can convey a message clearly and effectively.
